Myrttinen’s Cucumbers
Myrttinen’s Cucumbers are a living legend in Finland. Their salted cucumbers have been made with a traditional recipe utilizing lactic acid fermentation for years, starting from 1940’s. They also have traditional pickled cucumbers in their assortment.
The iconic logo has remained the same for decades. When the new packages, point of sales -materials and the web page needed a brand uplift, the playful and cheery style, on which their brand is founded on, needed to remain. In addition, there were three main themes to emphasize – Finnish origin, countryside and tradition.
A few years ago, the product range was extended with an original and traditional Myrttinen’s potato salad.
To highlight the home-made taste, the package needed to express tradition and have a grandma’s homey feel. Also, one of the objectives was to distinguish the package from competitors’ products with a vivid and colorful appearance.
